As always, we let random.org select the lucky recipient of our $25 Gift Certificate. And this time that person is… Piali Biswas! Congratulations Piali and happy shopping! Please leave a comment on this post and I will get your certificate on it’s way.

Now here is a new sketch for you to enjoy. I designed the card layout shown here and then asked our Rock Stars to have some fun with it. Check out all these fabulous cards they’ve created to inspire you today!

And now it’s your turn! The rules are really simple… Your card doesn’t even have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them! :-) Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions! Simply create a card based on my sketch, upload your card to your blog or Splitcoast gallery, then link your card here to this post by clicking on the little blue button below.

We will be accepting submissions to this D2910 Sketch Challenge until 5pm EST on January 11th. All participants will be automatically entered into our random drawing. Then on January 12th we will post a new challenge. At the end the month we’ll announce the winner from our January challenges and one lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

So what are you waiting for?! Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations! When you are ready to share your card, please add the direct link to your entry using the link button below. And please be sure to reference Repeat Impressions Sketch D2910 in your blog or gallery posting.

Thanks so much for visiting with us this week! We hope you’ll play along and look forward to seeing your sketch card linked here soon! :-) And don’t forget… our D22 CASE Card Challenge wraps up next week. Submissions are being accepted until January 4th. Please follow this link to my latest CASE Card Challenge post for all the details!

Before I sign off I have one other important announcement to make… Today we’re bidding a fond farewell to Rock Star, Julie Smith. Unfortunately for us, Julie’s plate is a little full right now with other commitments so today is her final posting with our group. It’s been a real pleasure working with Julie. And I think we can all agree that she is very talented and has been a great asset to our group. Just so you know, Julie… the RI welcome mat will always be out for you! :-)

So I guess you know what this means… we now have an opening for a Rock Star position! I’ll be making the official announcement soon with all the application particulars in a separate post so stay tuned.

All the best to you for a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year! Have fun, be safe and happy stamping as we ring in 2011!!

Wendy

Hurray, it’s Wednesday and time to introduce a new CASE Card Challenge! This week’s inspiration card was created by Rock Star, Makiko Jones. What a fun card!

For you newbies out there… CASE is a term people use “to case a card”. Some say it stands for “copy and share everything” and others say “copy and selectively edit”. In either situation, when you CASE a card, you are to some degree copying someone else’s work. You look to their card for inspiration… whether it be the layout, or the color combination or any other design element of the card or all of the above. And then you borrow from that to create a card of your own that may be slightly different, but feels similar.

So a few days ago Makiko shared this card with her fellow Rock Stars and asked them to CASE it. Here are the wonderful cards they came up with…
