Today’s Designer’s Choice Challenge is a theme challenge. This time Repeat Rock Star, Karen Hasheck is challenging you all to create a card for the guys. Check out this clever card Karen created to get us started!
So a few days ago Karen shared this inspiration card with her fellow Rock Stars and asked them to create their own masculine cards. Check out all the wonderful cards they came up with!
Now we’d love for you to play along with us!
Here are all the details…
1. Create a card for the guys. Remember, your card does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeeally love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your DCC card on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions DCC831 Designer’s Choice Challenge. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, September 13th at 5PM EST.
4. On September 14th we will introduce a new Designer’s Choice Challenge (DCC) to play along with. When that challenge wraps up at the end of the month we will announce the winner for September. For this challenge the winner will receive any one unmounted sheet of stamps of their choice!
And now it’s time to reveal the winner of our August DCCs. Our friends at random.org have selected… Scootingranny! Congratulations! You just won an unmounted sheet of rubber stamps… any sheet of your choice! Please leave a comment here and I will contact you on how to make your selection.
Need another challenge? Don’t forget we also have a Sketch Card Challenge going on now too. This challenge wraps up next week so there is still plenty of time to play along! Please follow this link to my A2411 Sketch Card Challenge post for the inspiration layout and all the fabulous cards created by the Rock Stars.

Happy Monday! I hope all our east coast readers made it safely through the storm. We were fortunate to have a show in Buffalo over the weekend so we were far enough west to not be affected by Irene. Today could be a bit of a different story though as we travel east towards home. Hopefully we won’t run into too many obstacles… I’m really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!
Anywho… It’s time for a new Stamp of the Week! Today we’re featuring our 1405-M Nubble Light (sm) image. This lighthouse is one of the most popular in southern Maine. Check out all the great cards the Rock Stars created to inspire you!

If you are planning to attend please be sure to stop by Booth #7 and see us. We’d love to meet you and we have lots of new things to share since our last trip to NY! In addition to a bunch of new stamps, we also have pre-cut/pre-scored card stock for creating fun Side Step Cards and Center Stair Step Cards. We carry Scor-Pal and Scor-Buddy now too. And my niece, Adriana, will be joining us on this trip and demoing the Spica (Copic) Glitter Pens. They are oh so shimmery and fun!! Hope to see you there!

It’s time for a new Stamp of the Week! Today we’re featuring our 2711-I Puffins image. Atlantic Puffins are pretty cool and can be a rare bird to see in Maine. Lucky for us there are a few colonies that come ashore to nest and raise their young on our rocky islands for a few months every summer before heading back out to sea. If you ever get to visit the Maine coast between June and August you might want to look into one of the cruises that take folks out to see them. For more information on puffins this Mainebirding site is a good place to start. There are even videos for those who can’t wait for one of the cruises.
Now here are all the wonderful puffin cards the Rock Stars came up with to inspire you!
This stamp is available exclusively to our blog readers at 50% OFF from August 22-28, 2011 only. (Limited to 1 per person please.) If you would like to purchase this stamp please click on this Puffins link and scroll down to the bottom of the page. To receive your special discount please be sure to reference SOTW822 in the Coupon Code section of the online order form.
