Woohoo! I don’t usually post on Fridays but today we have something to celebrate! Starting next week we have three new Rock Stars joining us. I think that is newsworthy of a special post don’t you?! Please join us in welcoming Joyce Morien, Geri Utterback, and Christy Schumacher to the Repeat Impressions design team. I asked each of these ladies to give us a little introduction and this is what they had to say…
“My husband and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We have a 21 year old son who will be going back to college very soon (bummer). I grew up and have always lived in central WI. I have always, always always done crafts of some sort. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t – embroidery, crochet, needle point, cross stitch, scrapbooking and I’ve put pretty much all of that behind me to make cards and 3-D paper projects. On a rare occasion I do some crocheting for a change of pace. My ultimate goal is to be able to have a career doing my paper crafts.” ~ Joyce
“Hi! I’m so thrilled to be joining Repeat Impressions and their spectacular rock star team! I live up in the mountains of northern California. I’m a retired hairdresser. I have a great husband and two wonderful grown daughters and two grandkids that I’m very proud of. I started making cards in 2009 after being introduced to it by my daughters. I have fallen in love with this art. My blog is geri’s cards and I’m known on Splitcoaststamper’s as redwasher1. I’m a rock star YAH!!!!” ~ Geri
“My name is Christy Schumacher, I am 40 years old, mom of two college students and I couldn’t be prouder. I have been creating cards/scrapbooks/altered art for around 5 years now, it is my passion which I can indulge in calorie free. I do not have a name for my “style” of crafting because I am ever changing & evolving in it; this I feel is what keeps my ideas fresh & unique. I am also a Certified Scrapbook & Paper-ED Instructor for Michaels as well as the Paper Crafting Instructor for The Middletown Arts Center. My favorite crafting items that I use almost all the time are my paper trimmer, my Scor-Pal, Cricut & my ATG.” ~ Christy

Have a great weekend everyone! We’ll be back again on Monday to kick off a new Stamp of the Week. Hope to see you here!
Happy Wednesday crafty peeps! It’s time to get inspired with a new Designer’s Choice Challenge. Today we have a nice theme challenge for you. Rock Star, Lynette Neus is challenging you to create a card using flowers… stamped or otherwise.
Check out this lovely card Lynette created to get us all started.
So a few days ago Lynette shared this inspiration card with her fellow Rock Stars and asked them to create their own cards with flowers. Check out all these beautiful cards they came up with.
Now we’d love for you to play along with us!
Here are all the details…

As you may recall, we recently held a design team call. I am happy to report that we have a few new talented ladies joining our group next week. I will be making their introductions in a separate post soon.
Unfortunately, that also means it is time to say farewell to some of our current team members. Words cannot express how fortunate we have been to have Makiko Jones, Lynette Neus, and Dawn Bennett on our team. Makiko and Lynette are two of our original Rock Stars and have been with us since I started this blog almost two and a half years ago. Wow! And Dawn has been with us for a little over a year. Thank you ladies for all the fabulous cards you have created for us over all these many months! Your work is truly inspirational and you will all be missed very much. We will surely be keeping in touch with you in blogland!
And thank you dear reader for sticking with me on this very long post today. We hope you’ve found lots to inspire you and look forward to seeing your challenge card linked here soon!
Until then… happy stamping!
Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend. We spent the last few days in Hamburg, NY doing a stamp show with our StampScrapArtTour friends. And I had an unexpected treat on Friday… I got the night off from teaching at the Make & Take Project Party on Friday night and got to take a little road trip up to see the fireworks and illumination at Niagara Falls instead. Very cool!

We’ve just barely recovered from the Cinci show and here we are packing everything up again. Tomorrow we’re shuffling off to the Buffalo, NY area for the StampScrapArtTour show in Hamburg. We’ll be at the Event Center at The Fairgrounds this weekend, August 25 & 26. If you are in the area and planning to attend please be sure to stop by our booth and say hello. This will be my niece Adriana’s last appearance of the summer before she heads back to school. She’s looking forward to helping out in our booth again this weekend and being my demo queen. We hope you can come join the fun!
Thanks so much for spending time here with us this week. I hope you’ve been inspired and look forward to seeing your next masterpiece linked here soon.
Until then… Happy creating!
