And now it’s your turn! The rules are really simple… Your card doesn’t even have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them! 😀 Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions! Simply create a card based on my sketch, upload your card to your blog or Splitcoast gallery, then link your card here to this post by clicking on the little blue button below.

We will be accepting submissions to this O3013 Sketch Challenge until 5pm EST on November 12th. All participants will be automatically entered into our random drawing. Then on November 13th we will post a new challenge and after that challenge wraps up at the end of the month we’ll announce the winner for November. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

So what are you waiting for?! Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations! When you are ready to share your card, please add the direct link to your entry using the link button below. And please be sure to provide a link back here and reference Repeat Impressions Sketch O3013 in your blog or gallery posting.

Today we’re also announcing the winner of our October sketch challenges. As usual, we let random.org select the lucky recipient of our $25 Gift Certificate. So without further ado… drum roll please… this time that person is… Ina! Congratulations, Ina and happy shopping! Please leave a comment on this post and I will get your certificate on it’s way.

Don’t forget… we also have a fun Designer’s Choice Challenge going on now too! Our Rock Star hostess, Karen Hasheck has a great technique challenge for you this time. Please visit my DCC1023 ~ Paper Piecing post for all the details and spectacular inspiration cards from the Rock Stars.

So do we have any New Jersey area readers out there? We’re headed to Edison tomorrow for the last StampScrapArtTour show of the year. We’ll be at the New Jersey Convention Center/Raritan Center all weekend. If you’re in the neighborhood we hope you will come have some fun with us! We haven’t done a Jersey show in years and are looking forward to getting reacquainted with some of you!

Thanks so much for spending time here with us this week. We hope you’ve been inspired and look forward to seeing your challenge card linked here soon. And be sure to drop by again on Monday when Rock Star, Cheri Weston will be hosting and sharing her Project of the Week with us.

Until then… Happy creating!

Hello, Brenda here with another Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions. I am so excited to share my project with you. I decided to make an Easel card with a crazy quilt background. I picked this adorable penguin stamp #8801 Swinging Penguin from the Christmas Penguins stamps. You can see all of the darling little guys here.

20131027-200225.jpg

I wanted the card to be able to open to two different points so I added a sentiment tag attached with bakers twine. The sentiment is #1141 Merry Christmas and is placed higher on the inside.

20131027-200359.jpg

The card is 5 X 5 1/2. I started with a piece of white card stock that measured 5 X 11 and using my Scor Pal I scored at 3 and 5 1/2 folding both creases to the inside.

20131027-200537.jpg

I added Scor Tape to the bottom section of the front as shown here.

20131027-200647.jpg

For the front I grab some of my favorite Christmas papers left over from last years cards.

20131027-200819.jpg

This is what the front looked like after I cut and arranged the scraps in a patterned I liked. Notice I didn’t worry about the center as it would be hidden behind my image. I repeated the process for the lower panel on the inside.

I hope you enjoyed my project and are inspired to give an easel card a try. Have a fabulous and fun week.

Brenda

Repeat Impressions

Happy Monday Y’all! Melissa here to share my Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions with you.

With Thanksgiving coming sooner than later I thought it would be good to get a headstart on some place cards.

I pulled together all of the elements I needed and got busy.

20131019-211720.jpg

Supplies used:
Repeat Impressions Oak Leaf Silhouette #5110-I
Ivory, Kraft and Woodgrain Cardstocks
Versamark and Tea Dye Inks
Egyptian Gold EP, Twine and Buttons

20131019-212245.jpg

20131019-212429.jpg

Stamp the Oak Leaf image with Versamark ink and emboss with Egyptian Gold EP and fussy cut each leaf. Add Tea Dye ink to the edges of each leaf giving them a beautiful rustic look. Cut kraft cardstock 3 1/2″ x 4″, woodgrain 3 1/4″ x 1 7/8″ and ivory 3″ x 1 3/4″. Fold Kraft piece in half to create a 2″ x 3 1/2″ folded card. Distress edges with Tea Dye ink. Adhere woodgrain panels to front of place card. Swipe ivory panels with Versamark ink and emboss edges with Egyptian Gold powder. Adhere ivory panels on top of woodgrain panels and add your guests name.

Add Oak Leaf image to left side of placecard with foam tape. For a finishing touch add button tied with a twine bow. I haven’t said it for awhile, remember no NEKKID buttons, it just takes a minute to add some twine or affix a bow and give your project that finished look.

Have a great day!
