And now it’s your turn! The rules are really simple… Your card doesn’t even have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them! 😀 Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions! Simply create a card based on my sketch, upload your card to your blog or Splitcoast gallery, then link your card here to this post by clicking on the little blue button below.

We will be accepting submissions to this N2614 Sketch Challenge until 5pm EST on December 9th. All participants will be automatically entered into our random drawing. On December 10th we will post a new challenge, and then one more on Christmas Eve before we wrap up the year and announce our winner for December. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

So what are you waiting for?! Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations! When you are ready to share your card, please add the direct link to your entry using the link button below. And please be sure to provide a link back here and reference Repeat Impressions Sketch N2614 in your blog or gallery posting.

This month we skipped a Sketch Challenge in order to accommodate a blog hop. And in the challenge prior to that we only had four participants. So I have decided that those four submissions will be rolled over into this next round of challenges. And as a thank you for their participation and patience, I will be awarding each of those participants an additional entry in our drawing. :)

Don’t forget… we also have a great Designer’s Choice Challenge going on now too! Our Rock Star hostess, Geri Utterback has an awesome photo inspiration challenge for you this time. Please visit my DCC1119 ~ Inspiration Challenge post for all the details and fantastic inspiration from the Rock Stars.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. We hope you’ve found lots to inspire you and look forward to seeing your sketch card linked here soon.

Until the next time… happy stamping! And to all our U.S. readers, we wish you a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello!

Okay, I have a confession to make.
Monochromatic cards inspire me SO much, but scare me even more!
I have a really hard time getting myself psyched up to create one!
It’s funny what intimidates us, right?

Anyway…when it became my turn to post a Project of the Week,
this just had to be my technique!

I apologize for the photos. I have some bright halogen lights above my work area, and I simply could not get any shots that were without glare.

For this card, I used two beautiful Repeat Impressions stamps, 2101-Q Santa over Portland Head Light, and 2208-G Warmest Holiday. The Portland Head image is also available without the Santa. Repeat Impressions has a whole page of Lighthouse images that are gorgeous…be sure to check them out!

My first step was to decide what color I wanted to work with. Dark blue won out, so the first step was to stamp the image.

Next, the sentiment needed to be added. When stamping, the Stamp-a-ma-jig is worth it’s weight in gold. There is no guess work – the stamping goes exactly where you want it.

20141123-133828.jpg

Next, using the same color ink that you’ve stamped with, do some sponging to add depth to your image. Always use a circular motion, and begin your sponging off of the cardstock, working in.

I left a bit of light area, hoping to achieve the look of a pretty sky.

After matting on black cardstock, and adhering the panel to a card front,
out came the glitter! I used a Martha Stewart glue pen (only because my Tombow
ran out!!!), and added a bit of ‘snow and ice’ to the image.

Here is the finished card.

One more view – hope you can see the sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by today!
