Happy Wednesday my crafty peeps! I’m happy to report that my computer is now fixed so it’s back to business as usual around here! :-) But I have even more exciting news! Today we have something new to share with you… our first ever CASE Card Challenge!

For those of you who may be unfamiliar… CASE is a term people use “to case a card”. Some say it stands for “copy and share everything” and others say “copy and selectively edit”. In either situation, when you CASE a card, you are to some degree copying someone else’s work. You look to their card for inspiration… whether it be the layout, or the color combination, or any other design element of the card or all of the above. And then you borrow from that to create a card of your own that may be slightly different, but feels similar.

Our first CASE inspiration card was created by Darsie Bruno. Isn’t it beautiful?! I just love the colors and the big, fancy bow! And you might notice that Darsie has used our 2019-I Santa’s Friend image which also happens to be our current Stamp of Week. (Please see my previous post for more details on that.)

So a few days ago Darsie shared this elegant card with her fellow Rock Stars and asked them to CASE it. Here are the fabulous cards they came up with…

Now we’d like for you to play along with us! Here are all the details…
1. Create a card based on the inspiration card provided. Your card does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeally love to see them! :-) Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your cased card on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions CASE #N10. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, November 23rd at 5PM EST.
4. We will choose one winner randomly from the list of submissions. For this challenge the winner will receive an unmounted sheet of our 2000 series of winter and Christmas theme rubber stamps… a total of 20 stamps! We will announce the lucky winner on Wednesday, November 24th.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have fun and happy stamping! Hope to see your cased creation here soon!

Wendy

P.S. Don’t forget to leave us a comment and let us know if you’d like to see more CASE Card Challenges. We love hearing from you and appreciate all your input! :-)

  1. I like your sketches too, but the CASE challenge was fun, so please continue to do both! Thanks!
