Woohoo! A new month, a new Sketch Challenge, a challenge winner, two new Rock Stars, and a sneak peek at my newest stamp designs! We have so much to celebrate here today!
First let’s get to the introductions. We have two new talented ladies joining the Repeat Impressions family. Please join us in welcoming our newest Rock Stars, Kecia Waters and Patti J (Gilliam).
As luck would have it, I had the pleasure meeting Kecia in person at the Adventures In Stamping show last weekend. What a delight! I asked Kecia to tell us a little about herself and this is what she had to say…
I am absolutely elated to be a Rock Star on the Repeat Impressions’ Design Team. Thank you for such an honor and privilege, Wendy.
I’ve been stamping for almost 10 years now. I love coloring images with alcohol markers and color pencils, and usually reach for bright, bold colors in my designs.
I just got married two years ago and I am so happy (and relieved) that my husband, Chris, encourages my card designing obsession. We often will spend our time together in my stamp room, with him surfing the web and with me coloring away. When I am not stamping, I am busy cheering my Ohio State Buckeyes onto victory in football, playing with my spoiled, but adorable dachshund, Sloopy, or teaching first grade. It all keeps me busy, but I love every minute of it.
I haven’t had the opportunity to meet Patti yet but I hope to some day. I asked Patti to share a little bit about herself too and here is what she had to say…
I am a retired administrative secretary. I’ve been crafting for years, but was introduced to paper crafts in 2002. I dabbled for several years, and became hopelessly addicted a few years ago. I’ve been blogging for over three years now, and love the friends that I’ve met through this hobby.
I am blessed with a wonderful husband, who indulges my creative time, and just spoils me rotten! We have been married for 39 years, and live in Farmington, Missouri.
Our son is an Air Force Major, and lives in Calif. Our daughter and son-in-law live in Colorado. She is an Integrated Marketing Manager, and our SIL is serving his 3rd deployment. They were married Feb. 4th, 2012, and her husband left for Afghanistan on Feb. 28th.
I feel that every day is a gift from God, and try to “Cherish Each Precious Day”.
Welcome aboard, Kecia and Patti, we’re so excited to have you on the team and look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!
And with that, it’s time to introduce a new Sketch Challenge. I designed the card layout shown here and then asked our Rock Stars to have some fun with it.
Check out all the fabulous cards they created this week!
Kecia got a little excited and jumped the gun with her stamp selection on this card.
But that’s lucky for you because now you get to have a little sneak peek at my newest stamp series! We’ll be having a blog hop soon to show off all the new designs so be watching for that announcement.
And now it’s your turn! The rules are really simple… Your card doesn’t even have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them!
Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions! Simply create a card based on my sketch, upload your card to your blog or Splitcoast gallery, then link your card here to this post by clicking on the little blue button below.
We will be accepting submissions to this M212 Sketch Challenge until 5pm EST on May 15th. All participants will be automatically entered into our random drawing. Then on May 16th we will post a new challenge and when that challenge wraps up we’ll announce the winner of our May challenges. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!
So what are you waiting for?! Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations! When you are ready to share your card, please add the direct link to your entry using the link button below. And please be sure to provide a link back here and reference Repeat Impressions Sketch M212 in your blog or gallery posting.
Today we’re also announcing the winner of our April sketch challenges. As usual, we let random.org select the lucky recipient of our $25 Gift Certificate. So without further ado… drum roll please… this time that person is… Sue Van! Congratulations, Sue and happy shopping! Please leave a comment on this post and I will get your certificate on it’s way.
And don’t forget… We also have a great Designer’s Choice Challenge going on now too! Our Rock Star hostess, Makiko, has a wonderful theme challenge for you this time. Please visit my DCC425 ~ Card For A Woman You Love challenge post for all the details and fantastic inspiration cards from the Rock Stars.
Whew! I think I covered everything. Thank you so much for visiting with us today. We hope you’ve been inspired to play along and look forward to seeing your challenge card linked here soon.
Until then… happy stamping!

Surprise! Today we have a special Tuesday post announcement to share with you… We have a new Rock Star in our midst! Woohoo!! Please help us in welcoming Cheri Weston to the Repeat Impressions design team.
Although we have yet to meet in person, Cheri and I have been having fun getting to know each other via email for the last couple of weeks. It is interesting that our paths hadn’t crossed until now. As it turns out, we have a few stamping friends in common and we live less than an hour apart. How cool is that?! Cheri also happens to be on another DT with two of our current Rock Stars. It surely is a small world!
I asked Cheri to tell us a little about herself and this is what she had to say…
“I am grandmother to Philip 4 and Alexa 3 and I live in Central Maine. I was originally born and raised in the Adirondacks of New York State where I learned many crafts from my mother and grandmothers. I work part-time as a secretary for the local school district and fill in my non-work time with rubber stamps and paper.
While I’ve played with crafts all my life, I’ve never found one that has become such a passion as rubber stamping and paper crafts. I began this craft 4 years ago, when I thought I would like to make baby shower cards for my daughter-in-law’s baby shower. What a beginning!!! I made 50 invitations, and had a blast doing it and became totally hooked. After that I decided to take some classes in card making techniques at my local stamp store and the rest is history. I continue to develop my skill and feed my passion.
I am so thrilled to be selected as a DT member for Repeat Impressions. It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to represent a Maine rubber stamp company.”
Here is a sneak peek at one of Cheri’s creations… Check out this fabulous card she recently submitted for one of our Sketch Challenges. This card features our ever popular #708-K Rebecca stamp.
To learn more about Cheri and her stamping adventures please visit her blog, Stamp’n Boomer.
Welcome aboard Cheri! Myself and your fellow Rock Stars are so excited to have you join us. And I’m sure our readers can’t wait to see all great things you’ll be creating for us in the coming weeks. Luckily we only have to wait until tomorrow!
Have a great day everyone! Thanks so much for dropping by. I’ll be back tomorrow with Cheri and the rest of the gang to kick off a new Sketch Challenge. Please don’t forget to leave our newest Rock Star a little love here on your way out!

Surprise and Happy Friday! Today we don’t have any card creations to share… instead we have a special announcement. Yes, it’s finally time to let the cat out of the bag and introduce Repeat Impressions’ newest Rock Stars! Woohoo!! Gosh it was hard to keep this under wraps for so long! Starting next week we have two very talented ladies joining our already fabulous Design Team.
Please help us in welcoming Kendra DeCota and Vicki Dutcher.
If you are like me I bet you can hardly wait until next week to see what wonderful things they will be creating for us. Until then I thought it would be nice to share a few words from them…
“Hi my name is Kendra DeCota and I am excited to be a part of this amazing design team! I am currently a stay at home mom of two children ages 9 and 6 and I have been married to my wonderful husband for 8 years. I have been stamping for almost 13 years now and two years ago I got into blogging. I love the atmosphere of this online stamping community! When I’m not caring for my kids and stamping, I enjoy cooking and reading a good book!”
“I am so excited to be on the Repeat Impressions Design Team! I hope my future cards inspire you.
I started stamping about 15 years ago, left it for a long time, and started back up again about 3 years ago. I am totally into creating cards and really, that is all I do (hence the name of my blog) – Oh yeah, I work part time at Starbucks.
I live in Arizona, where yep, it gets hot! Luckily, I am in an air conditioned house, car and my stamp room has a/c with a fabulous fan that keeps me cool. I will periodically swim in my pool too – that always helps.
I look forward to working with this awesome company and fabulous Team and also look forward to seeing all of your creations!”
Welcome aboard ladies! Myself and your fellow Rock Stars are so thrilled to have you join us and I’m sure our readers are excited too. I’m already looking forward to next week and all the fun we’ll be having here.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Thanks so much for dropping by. We’ll be back on Monday with inspiration and a new Stamp of the Week! Please don’t forget to leave our newest Rock Stars a little love on your way out!

Repeat Impressions
I don’t usually post on Tuesdays but just had to share this… This past weekend we were in Westminster, MD for the StampScrapArtTour show. As always it was nice to see so many of the familiar faces that turn out to support us year after year. And this trip was even more fun thanks to a visit from a couple of very special visitors.
On Saturday, Repeat Rock Star, Dawn Bennett stopped by for a visit and brought us a big stack of awesome cards to add to our display boards. I had the pleasure of meeting Dawn back in the the spring when she first joined our team, but it was so nice to get to chat with her again.
Sunday’s at the shows are usually much quieter and last weekend was no exception. I was bored and hanging out at my demo table when someone handed me a stack of cards and said… ” I thought I’d deliver these in person.” Well let me tell you, I had to do a double take. Repeat Rock Star, Robin Kirkpatrick, totally surprised me with a visit! Since Robin lives in Atlanta, I was completely floored to see her standing in front of me in Westminster, MD. What a fabulous end to my weekend! It was so wonderful to officially meet Robin in person and we had a great visit.
Today I’m back in the office and looking forward to perhaps adding another chapter to this week’s Rock Star get togethers. Rumor has it that Joy Hadden is vacationing here in Maine and may stop by for a quick reunion. I can’t wait!
Hope to “see” the rest of you here again on Wednesday!
Wendy
