Surprise and Happy Friday! Today we don’t have any card creations to share… instead we have a special announcement. Yes, it’s finally time to let the cat out of the bag and introduce Repeat Impressions’ newest Rock Stars! Woohoo!! Gosh it was hard to keep this under wraps for so long! Starting next week we have two very talented ladies joining our already fabulous Design Team. :D Please help us in welcoming Kendra DeCota and Vicki Dutcher.

If you are like me I bet you can hardly wait until next week to see what wonderful things they will be creating for us. Until then I thought it would be nice to share a few words from them…

Kendra DeCota

Kendra DeCota

“Hi my name is Kendra DeCota and I am excited to be a part of this amazing design team! I am currently a stay at home mom of two children ages 9 and 6 and I have been married to my wonderful husband for 8 years. I have been stamping for almost 13 years now and two years ago I got into blogging. I love the atmosphere of this online stamping community! When I’m not caring for my kids and stamping, I enjoy cooking and reading a good book!”

“I am so excited to be on the Repeat Impressions Design Team! I hope my future cards inspire you.

I started stamping about 15 years ago, left it for a long time, and started back up again about 3 years ago. I am totally into creating cards and really, that is all I do (hence the name of my blog) – Oh yeah, I work part time at Starbucks.

I live in Arizona, where yep, it gets hot! Luckily, I am in an air conditioned house, car and my stamp room has a/c with a fabulous fan that keeps me cool. I will periodically swim in my pool too – that always helps.

I look forward to working with this awesome company and fabulous Team and also look forward to seeing all of your creations!”

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Thanks so much for dropping by. We’ll be back on Monday with inspiration and a new Stamp of the Week! Please don’t forget to leave our newest Rock Stars a little love on your way out!

I don’t usually post on Tuesdays but just had to share this… This past weekend we were in Westminster, MD for the StampScrapArtTour show. As always it was nice to see so many of the familiar faces that turn out to support us year after year. And this trip was even more fun thanks to a visit from a couple of very special visitors.

On Saturday, Repeat Rock Star, Dawn Bennett stopped by for a visit and brought us a big stack of awesome cards to add to our display boards. I had the pleasure of meeting Dawn back in the the spring when she first joined our team, but it was so nice to get to chat with her again.

Sunday’s at the shows are usually much quieter and last weekend was no exception. I was bored and hanging out at my demo table when someone handed me a stack of cards and said… ” I thought I’d deliver these in person.” Well let me tell you, I had to do a double take. Repeat Rock Star, Robin Kirkpatrick, totally surprised me with a visit! Since Robin lives in Atlanta, I was completely floored to see her standing in front of me in Westminster, MD. What a fabulous end to my weekend! It was so wonderful to officially meet Robin in person and we had a great visit.

Today I’m back in the office and looking forward to perhaps adding another chapter to this week’s Rock Star get togethers. Rumor has it that Joy Hadden is vacationing here in Maine and may stop by for a quick reunion. I can’t wait! :D

Hope to “see” the rest of you here again on Wednesday!

Here it is Monday again so I bet you know what that means! Yes, it’s time for a new Stamp of the Week. And surprise! We’re also introducing another new Design Team member! So first let’s give a warm welcome to Repeat’s newest Rock Star, Miriam Napier.

Miriam Napier

I asked Miriam to tell us a little about herself…

“Hi! My name is Miriam and I have lived in Atlanta, Georgia most of my life. I am single and have 2 adorable kitties.

I have taken art classes all my life and remember doing lots of coloring with crayons as a child. To this day I am still a class junkie! When I was in the 4th grade I taught my first art class. In 2004 I started scrapbooking and nine months later discovered stamping. I could never draw well so stamping was a great way to color or watercolor without having to draw. After seeing an embossed image on a display card in an art supply store and had to try it. I was hooked. I started taking stamping classes at a local stamp store and have made a whole new group of friends.

Much later I discovered Copic markers and most of my cards are colored with them. I love the speed and the blending effect you get from Copics. Bookmaking, gardening and making pottery are also hobbies.

I started blogging in December after some friends told me I had to share my work with others. I didn’t realize it would be such fun!

I am so happy to be a part of the talented Rock Stars and I look forward to coloring, paper piecing and heat embossing the beautiful Repeat Impressions images! Thank you Wendy for asking me to be a part of your team!”

Check out this gorgeous card Miriam recently submitted for our M2311 Sketch Challenge. Her fantastic coloring really brings our 1321-M Bird and Blossoms image to life!
