Happy New Year!! Wow, 2014 already… I always look forward to the start of a new year, don’t you? I guess I just like the feeling of new beginnings, the process of getting reorganized, and the renewed hope for another fun and successful year ahead. Now if I can only manage to maintain that feeling for more than a few months! Haha!! 😉

If you like new things too then Repeat Rock Star, Geri Utterback has the perfect Designer’s Choice Challenge to help you ring in the new year. Geri’s challenging you to create a card with something new to you. This could be trying out a new technique or a new stamp or paper or anything at all that is new to you.

Geri decided to try her hand at the chalkboard technique and created this great card to get us all started.

So a few days ago Geri shared this card with her fellow Rock Stars and asked them to create their own card using a new technique or supply. Check out all the fantastic creations they came up with to inspire you this week! Fabulous stuff here… I would say that trying new things is a super idea!

And now it’s your turn. Here are all the details…
1. Create a card using something you’ve never tried before… a new technique, stamp, or other crafting supply. And remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeeally love to see them! 😀 Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your DCC creation on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions DCC11 ~ New To You. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, January 14th at 5PM EST.
4. On January 15th we will introduce a new Designer’s Choice Challenge (DCC) to play along with and after that challenge wraps up we’ll announce our winner for January. For this challenge the winner will receive any one unmounted sheet of stamps of their choice!

Today we’re also announcing the winner of our December DCCs. So now without further ado… our friends at random.org have selected… Darlene Pavlick as our December winner. Congratulations, Darlene! You just won an unmounted sheet of rubber stamps… any sheet of your choice! Please leave a comment here and I will contact you on how to make your selection.

Don’t forget that we also have a fun Sketch Challenge happening now too. There are still a few days left to get in on this one and an opportunity to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate! Please follow this link to my WHAT IF? Wednesday ~ Sketch Challenge D2513 post to see my sketch layout and all the wonderful cards the Rock Stars created to get you started.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. We hope you’ve found lots to inspire you and look forward to seeing your “new to you” card linked here soon.

Until then… happy stamping and best wishes for a very Happy New Year!
