Now we’d love for you to play along with us!

Never made this style of card before? Don’t despair, Repeat’s got you covered! And these cards are really a lot easier to make than they look, trust me. If you are at all familiar with our stamp line or visited with me at a show then you already know what I’m talking about. If not, then hop on over to the Flip Stamp pages on our website.

Waterfall is the traditional name given to this style of card due to the cascading motion of the cards. Many years ago when I learned to make them I thought they were neat, but something was missing. You would pull the ribbon to make the card move but they didn’t actually “do” anything. You might put 4 different flowers on each of the panels and then end with a Get Well verse for example. Nice enough, but it seemed to me there should be more.

That’s when I started designing a line of stamps I call Flips. Did you ever have one of those books that when you flipped through the pages it created a little animation? Same idea with my line of Flip Stamps. Each stamp set includes 4 images that create a little animation plus a verse to go with it. Our line of Flip Stamps comes in 35 different designs. You can build a snowman, decorate a birthday cake, make a rose bloom and so much more. Check out the selection by visiting the Flip Stamp page of our website.

And if you need written instructions you can find all those details on our site too. Still, some people are put off by too many steps… so to make things even simpler we also offer Flip Card Kits! This is a huge time saver when you are just starting out. These kits are great because all the pieces are precut and pre-scored for you. That means you can focus on learning how to assemble the card and be able to whip up your first waterfall style card in only 15 minutes or so. Sound good? Why not give it a try and join in this fun challenge!

Here are all the details…
1. Create a waterfall style card with a fall theme. Remember, your card does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeeally love to see them! :D Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your DCC card on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions DCC119 Designer’s Choice Challenge. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, November 22nd at 5PM EST.
4. On November 23rd we will introduce a new Designer’s Choice Challenge (DCC) to play along with. When that challenge wraps up we’ll announce the winner for November. For this challenge the winner will receive any one unmounted sheet of stamps of their choice!

And now it’s time to reveal the winner of our October DCCs. Wowza! I still can’t believe how many of you participated last month. Thank you so much for playing along! So now without further ado… Our friends at random.org have selected… Michele C! Congratulations, Michele! You just won an unmounted sheet of rubber stamps… any sheet of your choice! Please leave a comment here and I will contact you on how to make your selection.

And don’t forget… We also have a great Sketch Challenge happening now too. There is still a week left to get in on this one and an opportunity to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate! Please follow this link to my WHAT IF? Wednesday ~ Sketch Challenge N211 post to see my sketch layout and all the wonderful cards the Rock Stars created to get you started.

My apologies for being long winded… so much info to share. :D Thank you so much for spending time with us this week! We hope you’ve found lots to inspire you and look forward to seeing your challenge card linked here soon!

Until then… Happy Stamping!
