Hello, Joy here today. Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions gave me the opportunity to do a Project of the Week. I was reading about hot trends in card making and there was one trend I really liked. It was watercoloring, so I am showing a watercolor technique using Repeat Impressions images.

Here is the list of supplies you might need:
water color paper
Tim Holtz Distress inks
spritz bottle of water
acrylic block

Ink up the acrylic block and squirt it 5-6 times with the water mister and it should look like this:

Press the inked block onto the water color paper and lift up the block. It will run and puddle, but that is what you want and it should look similar to this:

Let it dry and then layer several other colors, allowing it to dry between layers. I got carried away and made a few.

Here are two cards. I used versamark and black embossing powder for the images so they would stand out.

The Repeat Impressions stamps are 2717-L Humpback Whale, 9706-U Flowers, 3110-F Love Much, and 8607-D Thanks (with a little masking) sentiments.

I hope this encourages you to try this technique. Thank you for looking at my cards – have a happy stamping day.

Joy
