Happy Wednesday! Today we have something new to share with you… our first Designer’s Choice Challenge! For this series we will be offering a variety of challenges… each one a designer’s choice of course! In the coming weeks our Rock Stars will all be taking a turn at playing “host” and creating a challenge for you to play along with. We’ll be offering challenges centered around a theme, technique, colors, embellishment… you name it! All kinds of fun stuff!! :D

Repeat Rock Star, Darsie Bruno came up with this wonderful idea and is going to get us started by challenging you all to create a Scenic card. Darsie loves to create scenic cards and it really shows. Isn’t this card gorgeous?!

Your card does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeeally love to see them! :D Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your Scenic card on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions DCC330 Designer’s Choice Challenge. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, April 12th at 5PM EST.
4. On April 13th we will provided you with a new Designer’s Choice Challenge (DCC) to play along with. At the end of the month we will announce the winner of our April DCC’s. For this challenge the winner will receive any one unmounted sheet of stamps of their choice!

Yesterday we wrapped up our final CASE Card Challenge. Many thanks to all those who took the time to participate over the last several months. We loved seeing all your creations!

And now it’s time to announce the winner from our March CASEs. Our friends at random.org have selected Ruza Rebel as our latest winner! Congrats, Ruza! You just scored an unmounted sheet of rubber stamps… any sheet of your choice!! Please leave a comment on this post and I will contact you with details. :D

Don’t forget… we also have a Sketch Challenge going on right now. Have you submitted a card yet? It’s still not too late! Submissions are open until April 5th at 5pm. You can follow this link to my M2311 Sketch Card Challenge post for all the details and inspiration.

And now for some less happy news… Today we bid a fond farewell to Rock Star, Ayana Posadas. Ayana is one busy girl what with school, work, stamping and blogging. We were so happy to have her on the team as long as we did. Her use of vibrant colors and clean style never failed to make us smile! We’re hoping she might join us for a challenge now and then if her time allows. We’ll miss you Ayana and wish you all the best!

Thank you all so much for spending time with us this week! We hope we’ve inspired you to get creative and look forward to seeing your card linked here soon!

Wendy

P.S. Any readers out there in the Ocean City, MD area? We’ll be at the Stamping by the Sea show at the Carousel Hotel & Resort this weekend. If you are planning to attend please be sure to stop by and look us up… we’d love to meet you!

How do I beat the chill of winter weather? Thoughts of somewhere warm and tropical usually seems to help. :-) My favorite sunshine spot is Aruba where I’ve been fortunate to spend more than a few winter getaways. This divi divi tree marks the midway point of my favorite beach walk. I really love it’s twisted trunk… it’s got so much character!

In Aruba they will tell you that if you get lost on the the island to just follow the direction these trees are pointing. They are shaped this way by the constant trade winds and just happen to point towards the side of the island where all the hotels and resorts can be found.

Quite a few years ago I created a series of Aruba inspired illustrations and turned them into rubber stamps. Our #2409-M Divi Divi Tree image is one of my favorites and is also this week’s Stamp of the Week feature. Now check out these beautiful cards the Rock Stars have come up with to inspire you!

Just look at the beautiful cards created by our Rock Stars to inspire you this week! Be sure to visit their individual blogs as well for details on techniques and materials used. And don’t forget to leave us a comment… we always love to hear your feedback!
