Ahh… September! My most favorite month of the year! In my little corner of the world, September usually means “just warm enough” days and cool, crisp nights… the last of native corn and wild Maine blueberries followed closely by perfectly tart MacIntosh apples and the start of fall foliage season. And best of all, the beginning of baking season! So since we’re still not back to doing stamp shows and we’ll be missing our stamping friends at the Maryland show this weekend, I’m hoping to use the extra time at home to get creative in the kitchen instead. Bill’s birthday is coming up next Monday so I think that’s another good reason to whip up something yummy, don’t you?!
Well unfortunately we didn’t see the upswing in challenge participation that we were hoping for, but I’m willing to blame it on summer distractions and give it another try. So we’re going to give it another go this month and extend our challenge submission deadlines for the entire month. That means this month the deadline for submissions for ALL our challenges will be October 3rd. So for example… starting with today’s Designer’s Choice Challenge you’ll have the entire month to create and upload your card. Then when we introduce our next new challenge next week you’ll have three weeks to submit for that one, two weeks for the following challenge, and the usual one week to submit the last challenge of the month. So with a little less of a time crunch we hope you’ll find that you have more opportunity to play along with more of our challenges. But hopefully with so much extra time you won’t procrastinate or forget to play along. 😉
Today here at “The House” we’re kicking off a new month of challenges with one of our great Designer’s Choice Challenges. This time around RI Rock Star, Shirley Hotop is hosting and challenging you all to create a sympathy card.
Here is the wonderful card that Shirley created to get everyone started.

And now it’s your turn. Here are all the details…
1. Stamp up a sympathy themed card. And remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeeally love to see them! 😀 Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your DCC creation on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions DCC96 ~ Sympathy Cards. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, October 3rd at 5PM EST.
4. On September 12th we will introduce a new challenge to play along with and after all our September challenges wrap up we’ll announce our winner for the month the first week in October. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!
Today we’re also announcing the winner of our August challenges. A big thank you to all of you who participated. We loved checking out all your creations and really appreciated all your kind comments too! As usual, we let random.org select the lucky recipient of our $25 Gift Certificate. So without further ado… this time that person is… Dorothy S. Congratulations, Dorothy and happy shopping! Please leave a comment on this post and I will contact you with your certificate info.
Thanks so much for dropping by today. We hope you’ve found lots to inspire you and look forward to seeing your challenge card linked here very soon. And please be sure to stop by again on Monday when RI Rock Star, Joy Hadden will be hosting and sharing her Project of the Week with you.
Until then… happy stamping!
