Happy Wednesday, everyone! If you are looking for some holiday stamping inspiration you’ve come to the perfect place. Today here at “The House” it’s time to kick off one of our fun Tic-Tac-Toe Challenges. I have created the Tic-Tac-Toe style board below using various stamping themes, elements, and embellishments. Then, similar to the game, you will create something based on picking any row of 3… either vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Fun, right?! And with so many great variables there’s really no reason why you can’t play along!

The rules are really simple… Remember, your creation doesn’t have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them! 😀 Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions! Don’t forget… we’ve been extending our submission dates for challenges so you have plenty of extra time to play along. We will be accepting submissions to this Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge ~ D1317 until 5pm EST on January 2nd. All participants will be automatically entered into our random drawing. On December 20th we’ll start a new challenge… our Inspiration Palette Challenge, and so on with the different challenges through the end of the month. Then the first Wednesday in January we’ll announce our December winner. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Project of the Week ~ Quilted Embossed Christmas Card

Hi everyone, Deonna here, I’d like to share a Quilted Embossed Christmas Card with all of you today.

This will be my last Project of the Week with Repeat Impressions for awhile. After much deliberation, I’ve chosen to step down off the design team. I just think that I need a break for awhile. Miscellaneous things have been happening in life that I need to care for. That doesn’t mean that I won’t ever be back. I may be begging to come back. Lol!

Anyway, let’s just get started with my tutorial.

Supplies:
RI Stamps - 9402-U Quilt Background (I cut all of mine apart), 9403-P Quilt Frame, 9404-H Our Friendship, and 9408-H Friendship Quilt Square.
Cardstock base - Baja Blue cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″
Red cardstock at least 4 1/4″ x 5″ and a scrap for the sentiment
Embossing stamp pad
Black detail embossing powder - Recollections
Heat tool
Paper trimmer
Black ink - Ranger Archival
“Let it Snow” patterned paper pieces - 5 to 6 different prints.
Scissors
Powder tray or piece of scrap paper
Glue

1. Gather the above supplies and stamp using stamp 9403-P Quilt Frame onto the red cardstock using the black ink. Trim the square out leaving 1/4″ border around the image. Set aside.

2. Gather various pieces of coordinating patterened paper that you want to use. (This would be a good time to use your scraps.)

Using your embossing ink, powder tray and black embossing powder, stamp each of the individual stamps from the 9402-U Quilt Background that were used on the 9403-P Quilt Frame (above in step 1)

With the embossing ink - Stamp each of the corners onto your chosen patterned paper. Stamp twice with one scrap and twice with another patterned paper. You will need to stamp 4 of each of the same design for the last two. Add embossing powder and heat set.

3. Once each square is embossed, cut each of them out using your scissors and set aside.

4. Repeat step 2 and 3 with the square stamp 9408-H Friendship Quilt Square. Stamp the image with embossing ink onto 2 different patterned papers. Cut out the entire stamped image of the first and just the star center of the second. Set aside.

5. Stamp and emboss the sentiment 9404-H Our Friendship onto a piece of red cardstock. Trim into a square. Trim a piece of patterned paper slightly larger then the sentiment.

6. Lay each piece onto the stamped quilted square on the red cardstock from step 1. Make sure that your paper pattern is going the direction that you desire and glue each one down over the top of the base stamped image. Glue the star onto the center square and glue into the center of the quilted square. Glue the entire quilted square onto your blue card base. Glue down the sentiment and embellish as desired. I chose to only add some buttons that I had in my stash.

Happy December everyone! I hope your holiday season is off to a warm and wonderful start. I’ve been super busy with everything else lately so I haven’t quite found my holiday spirit yet. But with a little luck, I’m really hoping that things settle down for me by the weekend so that I can put up the Christmas tree and make the house look a little festive.

Today here at “The House” we’re kicking off a new month of challenges with one of our great Designer’s Choice Challenges. This time around RI Rock Star, Joy Hadden is hosting and challenging you all to create something that includes glitter. That should be fun and also lends itself so well to the season!

Here is the fabulous card that Joy created to get everyone started.

“Hello everyone, my name is Esther and I live in the beautiful state of Virginia! I’m a home-school mom to one teenage daughter, wife of a small town pastor, and the owner of two spoiled Labs! I enjoy working in my flower beds, baking, decorating, crocheting, knitting, and playing the piano — but at the end of the day the hobby I come back to the most is card making. I belong to a card ministry that sends happy mail to hurting people all over the USA. I love that I can use my (favorite) hobby to bring cheer and encouragement to adults and children who are going through a difficult time. I’m excited and honored to be ask to design for Repeat Impressions!”
