Happy New Year, everyone!!!!

Cheri here with my stamp picks for the week of December 31. The stamps are discounted so grab them while you can.

The stamps I’ve selected for you are Repeat Impressions’ 10201-W “Flower Power Background”, 10307-H “Patti’s Flower Outline”, 10303-H “Kathy’s Flower Outline”, 10313-H “Daisy Outline Large”, and 2501-H “Happy Birthday From…”.

Here’s how I put them together on a monochromatic card.

Here are the supplies and the process for creating this card.

Supplies: VersaMark Ink, embossing buddy, card stock, vellum, scissors, embossing powder, Copic Markers (or coloring medium of you choice) and a heat gun (not shown).

After treating a teal card stock panel with an embossing buddy, Flower Power Background stamp was inked with VersaMark and stamped on the panel. (I used a MISTI stamp positioner). I sprinkled white embossing powder over the panel and heat embossed it.

The three outline individual flower stamps were stamped the same way only onto a piece of vellum paper that is heat tolerant. (Bazzill makes one). I then fussy cut the vellum pieces.

Here’s another look at the end result after putting the card together. As a final detail and for more dimension I used Ranger Enamel Accents.

Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget to grab these stamps while they’re discounted 20% from today until Sunday, January 6.

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! My goodness… is it just me or did Christmas come along even faster than usual this year? Today is my turn to share a Pick of the Week with you. Since I’ve been a bit of a slacker in the stamping department lately, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite Christmas card creations from years past.

This first card is a fun one using our Peek-A-Boo Pop-Up Card Stock and my favorite 3307-O Snow Cat stamp. I drew this many years ago using our cat, Kisa as a model. She was beautiful, but had some serious “catitude” and never would have allowed me to actually put a hat on her. Also used here are the stamps 3208-F Santa Claws and 2608-C Cat Paw. And for those of you not familiar with it, you will also find our Peek-A-Boo Pop-Up Card Stock in our web store. This is a version of a pop-up card that I designed that is simple, fast, fun and best of all, freestanding when open.

My Snow Globe card is in the side-step style. My apologies for being a tease, but we no longer carry these pre-cut cards. However, if you are handy with a ruler and an x-acto knife you can find instructions on the web on how to create one from scratch. For this card I used our stamps 8902-L Moose Snow Globe, 8912-I Snowflake Solid (lg), 8914-E Snowflake Solid (sm), and 8908-G Magical Christmas.

This Christmas Penguins card is made using one of our Joy Fold Card Kits. These cards are fun and easy to make. You can make one as a standard card or as gift card holder as I have done here. For this card I used the stamps 8804-G All of Us, 8806-N Penguin Trio, and 8809-C Ear Muffs Penguin (sm).

For this last card I decided to put a witty spin on the holiday and used stamps from my humorous Holy Crap series. I had so much fun designing that stamp series. There are so many different sentiment combinations that can be created from it covering a wide variety of occasions. The inside of this card uses the sentiment 10612-I “it’s almost Christmas!” since every year I seem to get later and later at getting my cards made and in the mail. The other stamps used here are 10601-L holy crap!, 10634-I Outhouse, 2709-I Large Pine Forest, and 3410-C Random Snow.

I hope you enjoyed sharing this walk down memory lane with me and perhaps got some new ideas to try for your 2019 holiday cards as well. As noted below, you can get all the stamps above at a discount for this week only.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your holiday to visit with us. Sending warm wishes from our “House” to yours for a very Merry Christmas!
