Happy Wednesday to all our sisters in stamping! We’re so excited about how many of you participated in our first Designer’s Choice Challenge. 😀 Thank you so much and please keep playing along! We love seeing all your creations!

For those of you who missed it… our Designer’s Choice Challenge (or DCC for short) is a new series where we will be offering a variety of challenges… each one a different designer’s choice. In the coming weeks our Rock Stars will all be taking a turn at playing “hostess” and creating a challenge for you to play along with. We’ll be offering challenges centered around a theme, technique, colors, embellishment… you name it! All kinds of fun stuff!! 😀

This week Repeat Rock Star, Karen Hasheck is challenging you all to create a child’s birthday or happy day card and you must also use embossing… either wet or dry or both. Check out this sweet card Karen created to get us started. I love how she cleverly designed the chest of drawers down the side… very cool!

So a few days ago Karen shared this inspiration card with her fellow Rock Stars and asked them to create their own cards with a child’s birthday/happy day theme and embossing. Check out all the fabulous cards they came up with! What a great variety too!!

Now we’d love for you to play along with us!

Here are all the details…
1. Create any child’s birthday or happy day card for this challenge. Remember you must also use some embossing too. This can be wet or dry embossing or both. Your card does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeeally love to see them! 😀 Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your DCC card on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions DCC413 Designer’s Choice Challenge. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, April 26th at 5PM EST.
4. On April 27th we will provided you with a new Designer’s Choice Challenge (DCC) to play along with and announce the winner of our first month of DCC’s. For this challenge the winner will receive any one unmounted sheet of stamps of their choice!

Don’t forget… we also have a Sketch Challenge going on right now. Have you uploaded your card yet? There’s still plenty of time! Submissions are open until April 19th at 5pm EST. Please follow this link to my A611 Sketch Card Challenge post for all the details and inspiration.

Thanks so much for spending time with us this week! We hope we’ve inspired you to get creative and look forward to seeing your challenge card linked here very soon!

  1. What a great idea to make a child’s card. As I looked through my stamps I found that I was greatly lacking children stamps. Guess I will have to buy some….now I have an excuse for spending more money!
