Hi all, its my week for the Pick of the Week and I am going to share an old technique that is quick and easy to make embellishments to jazz up the simplest of card: Foil embossing.

You will need either heavy duty aluminum foil or you can glue two sheets of regular foil together and then glue to a piece of white card stock - liquid glue of your choice is best. Emboss with embossing folder of your choice. Then die cut embellishments of your choice.

I then made two simple black and white cards using Repeat Impression stamps: 6806-U Sheet Music, 1112-E Just A Note, 10201-W Flower Power Background, and 1105-E Thinking of You. I then added my embellishments.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. What a fun technique and super cool way to create some shimmer for your cards!

  2. What a great technique; I’ve never tried it with actual foil (I have a giant roll of foil tape that I use sometimes). I love how you die cut shapes out of it, specially those flowers. They look really cool!
