It’s time for a new Stamp of the Week! Today we’re featuring our 2711-I Puffins image. Atlantic Puffins are pretty cool and can be a rare bird to see in Maine. Lucky for us there are a few colonies that come ashore to nest and raise their young on our rocky islands for a few months every summer before heading back out to sea. If you ever get to visit the Maine coast between June and August you might want to look into one of the cruises that take folks out to see them. For more information on puffins this Mainebirding site is a good place to start. There are even videos for those who can’t wait for one of the cruises. 😀
Now here are all the wonderful puffin cards the Rock Stars came up with to inspire you!
This stamp is available exclusively to our blog readers at 50% OFF from August 22-28, 2011 only. (Limited to 1 per person please.)
