Hi, Donna here with the Monday Project of the Week! I am going to show you how to get a cool stenciled background using Distress Inks and/or Distress Oxide Inks, a stencil and water.

First ink up a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of watercolor paper with Distress Inks and/or Distress Oxide Inks:

Spray stencil of your choice lightly with water and set on your inked paper:

Immediately press a paper towel to the stencil to soak up all excess water:

Trim to size desired and embellish as desired:

I hope you get a chance to try this simple technique.
Thanks for stopping by, happy Monday!
