Well hello, August! Is it just me or is summer zipping by? I shouldn’t complain too much though as this is the first time in 20 years that I’ve had the pleasure of being home in Maine for the summer months. Normally we’d be running the highways non-stop doing stamp shows, but Bill is still not quite up to speed yet so we’re enjoying life in the slow lane at home this summer. And truth be told, I couldn’t be happier about it!
For the past month, besides spending a lot of time on gardening, I’ve been pounding away on the computer getting our shopping cart back on track. I’ve worked myself into a major carpal tunnel flare up but it was totally worth it. I am happy to report that our site should now appear safe and functional for everyone no matter what browser you happen to be using. Yay!! And I’ve been updating tons of pages adding the cling cushion mounting option as well. That part is still a work in progress, but I’m really hoping to complete all the mounting option updates by next week or sooner. Wish me and my wrist luck!
Summer is traditionally a slower season for crafty endeavors, what with so many folks vacationing and enjoying more outdoor adventures than inside ones. Totally understandable! So we’ve decided to cut you all a little slack and are extending our challenge deadlines a bit. This month the deadline for submissions for ALL our challenges will be September 5th. So for example… starting with today’s Designer’s Choice Challenge you’ll have the entire month to create and upload your card. Then when we introduce our next new challenge next week you’ll have three weeks to submit for that one, two weeks for the following challenge, and the usual one week to submit the last challenge of the month. So with a little less of a time crunch we hope you’ll find that you have more opportunity to play along with more of our challenges. But hopefully with so much extra time you won’t procrastinate or forget to play along. 😉
Today here at “The House” we’re kicking off a new month of challenges with one of our wonderful Designer’s Choice Challenges. This time around RI Rock Star, Cheri Weston is hosting and has come up with a super fun idea… she’s challenging you all to “Stamp Your Favorite Movie”. So many great possibilities… check it out and then put on your thinking cap and play along!
Here is the fabulous card that Cheri created to get everyone started.

And now it’s your turn. Here are all the details…
1. Stamp a card that best illustrates your favorite movie. And remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would reeeally love to see them! 😀 Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
2. Post your DCC creation on your blog or online gallery and be sure to reference Repeat Impressions DCC82 ~ Stamp Your Favorite Movie. Then link it here with the inlinkz widget below. (Please provide a direct link to your post, not the entire blog.)
3. Submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, September 5th at 5PM EST.
4. On August 9th we will introduce a new challenge to play along with and after all our August challenges wrap up we’ll announce our winner for the month the first week in September. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!
Today we’re also announcing the winner of our July challenges. A big thank you to all of you who participated. We loved checking out all your creations and really appreciated all your kind comments too! As usual, we let random.org select the lucky recipient of our $25 Gift Certificate. So without further ado… this time that person is… Esther. Congratulations, Esther and happy shopping! Please leave a comment on this post and I will contact you with your certificate info.
Thanks so much for dropping by today. We hope you’ve found lots to inspire you and look forward to seeing your challenge card linked here very soon. And please be sure to stop by again on Monday when RI Rock Star, Shirley Hotop will be hosting and sharing her Project of the Week with you.
Until then… happy stamping!
